GOOOO PINK DAY! in honor of Mrs. Rita Jones, Kindergarten Teacher. Students can wear pink shirts Thursday, October 25, 2018, for a $1 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
This month we have been learning about the author Eric Carle in K-2 grade. We have read many of his books and learned about his particular type of hand painted art. Our 3-5 graders have been conducting research on the topic of erosion and the planets. Second-Fifth grade students have been checking out books at their regular scheduled library time. Ask them what a “Sammy” is.
AR is taking a whole new look this year. To spread the competition grade levels will be competing against each other. We will have Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners. As a result the Gold winners will earn a party (nacho, pizza, movie, popcorn, etc.) Encourage your child to read! Our program for K-1 is called Bookit through Pizza Hut. Your child’s teacher will be sending home this information shortly.
